Articles 5, 6, & 7 of the United States Constitution

Article 5 describes the procedure used to amend or change the Constitution.

Article 6 concerns the United States. The United States assumes debts and contracts entered under the Articles of Confederation. This article also sets the Constitution and laws and treaties of the United States to be the Supreme Law of the Land. Requires all officers to swear an oath when taking office.

Article 7 discusses the method used for the ratification of the Constitution. Nine of the original 13 states had to accept the Constitution before it was put into effect.
