Article 4 of the United States Constitution

Article 4 of the United States Constitution concerns the states.

Section 1 is a discussion of states honoring the laws of other states.

Section 2 guarantees that citizens of one state will be treated equally and fairly like citizens in other states.

Section 3 talks about admittance of new states and the control of federal lands.

Section 4 ensures a republican form of government - a democracy. It also guarantees that the federal government will protect the states against invasion.

Next week I'll wrap up with Articles 5, 6, & 7, then briefly touch on the Amendments in the weeks following. I think summarizing the Constitution has been good for me to do! I have learned so much.
